Effective Date: July 22, 2026
Open Choice ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates a lead generation, lead marketplace, Lead Portal, billing, routing, CRM, and related platform connecting consumers and businesses seeking insurance or related services with participating agencies and business partners ("Buyers"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, retain, and protect personal information when individuals submit forms, request quotes, receive communications, interact with our websites, or when Buyers use our Lead Portal, dashboards, billing tools, CRM tools, notifications, exports, APIs, or marketplace systems.
This Policy applies to all services, domains, subdomains, applications, APIs, communications, forms, dashboards, and related systems operated by Open Choice (collectively, the "Platform"). Additional notices, including our California Privacy Notice, may apply to certain residents or legal rights.
When you submit a quote request, lead form, consent form, or related inquiry, we may collect:
We may automatically collect IP address, device and browser information, timestamp data, pages viewed, interaction events, referral source, cookie identifiers, approximate location derived from IP address, fraud detection signals, and other security or operational logs.
We may log and retain IP addresses, device signals, and interaction records for fraud prevention, security monitoring, consent verification, dispute resolution, compliance, analytics, and platform operations.
We use consumer and lead information to:
We do not guarantee that every submission will be matched to a Buyer or that submitted information will be accurate, complete, current, or consistent.
Consumer and lead information may be shared with participating Buyers who purchase, receive, or are eligible to receive leads through our Platform. These Buyers may use the information to contact the consumer or business about the requested product or service.
We may also share information with service providers that support hosting, security, fraud prevention, payment processing, communications, email and SMS delivery, analytics, session replay, customer support, data storage, database operations, consent verification, lead delivery, and other platform operations.
We may disclose information to legal authorities, regulators, or other parties where required by law, to enforce our rights, to protect safety and security, to investigate fraud or abuse, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or asset transfer.
Open Choice operates a marketplace that transfers consumer-submitted lead information to participating Buyers for service fulfillment. Depending on the jurisdiction, this transfer may be considered a "sale," "sharing," or similar regulated disclosure of personal information. California residents should review our California Privacy Notice for additional rights and opt-out information.
When Buyers register for, fund, or use the Platform, we may collect:
Buyer payment information is processed by third-party payment processors. Open Choice does not store full card numbers, but may store payment tokens, customer IDs, card brand, last four digits, expiration month/year, billing status, and related transaction records needed for wallet funding, automatic recharges, refunds, dispute handling, and account administration.
We use Buyer information to:
Buyer activity, funding status, profile settings, lead outcomes, participation signals, and performance data may influence routing logic, eligibility, account controls, and marketplace operations.
Our Platform may use automated systems to score incoming leads, evaluate buyer eligibility, apply routing rules, detect duplicates, trigger time-sensitive notifications, reserve charges, apply spend caps or funding thresholds, assign or offer leads to Buyers, determine auction winners, operate shared or exclusive routing, and evaluate lead outcomes.
These automated processes are part of our marketplace infrastructure. They do not constitute automated legal, credit, insurance underwriting, or similarly significant decisions about consumers. Buyers remain responsible for their own underwriting, compliance, contact practices, and business decisions.
If Buyer adds funds, saves a payment method, or participates in automatic recharges, payment information is processed by third-party payment processors. We may store payment tokens, payment-method metadata, customer IDs, transaction records, recharge attempts, charge outcomes, billing failure records, account locks, and refund records. This information is used to fund the wallet, reserve or deduct Lead charges, process automatic recharges, manage backup payment methods, handle disputes, administer refunds, and maintain account records.
We may use contact information to send operational messages, account notices, lead delivery notices, billing messages, security alerts, verification codes, service updates, support messages, and legally required notices. If Buyer enables browser notifications, we may store browser or device notification tokens, permission status, browser metadata, notification preferences, and delivery logs to send lead notifications and account alerts, including billing-failure or account-pause alerts.
Browser notifications may be controlled through browser or device settings. Email and SMS messages may include service or transactional messages that are necessary to operate the Platform.
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Platform, maintain sessions, secure accounts, analyze performance, detect fraud, improve routing systems, and support marketplace operations. You may manage cookies through browser settings, but disabling cookies may affect Platform functionality.
Open Choice uses session replay and behavioral analytics technologies to record and analyze user interactions within the Platform. These tools may capture clicks, scrolling, navigation activity, page transitions, interaction timing, form interaction events, device information, browser information, and session metadata. Sensitive fields, including passwords, payment information, and other designated high-risk personally identifiable information, are masked or excluded from recording where technically feasible.
Session replay and interaction monitoring are used for fraud detection, security monitoring, dispute resolution, product improvement, performance analytics, compliance oversight, and support. Session recordings may be retained for a limited period consistent with operational, security, and compliance needs.
We use internal and third-party tools to detect suspicious activity, invalid submissions, account misuse, scraping, credential abuse, payment abuse, chargeback misuse, and other security or fraud risks. These tools may use IP analysis, device signals, behavior patterns, risk scoring, account history, payment history, lead activity, and communication records.
We may retain IP addresses, device logs, session records, audit logs, and activity records for security, compliance, dispute resolution, and fraud-prevention purposes.
When Buyers use CRM tools, lead exports, Lead Portal pages, account controls, notifications, or related features, we may collect and process activity logs, export requests, export files, download records, lead read status, lead outcome selections, notes, tasks, contact data entered by Buyer, and related account activity. These records are used to provide the requested tools, maintain auditability, enforce platform rules, support billing and disputes, and improve the Platform.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Platform, fulfill marketplace transactions, maintain business records, process billing and refunds, preserve consent and delivery records, prevent fraud, secure accounts, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on data type, account status, legal requirements, operational needs, and dispute history.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access personal information, correct inaccurate data, delete certain data, opt out of certain data uses, request data portability, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, or opt out of sale or sharing where applicable. Requests may be submitted using the contact information below. Identity verification may be required before fulfilling requests. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by applicable law and subject to verification.
California residents should review our California Privacy Notice for additional disclosures and rights.
Information may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.
Our Platform is not intended for individuals under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The Effective Date will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Platform after an update means the updated Policy applies to information collected and processed after the Effective Date, subject to applicable law.
